This week, the students learned more about the summer Design-Build program, and Perkins+Will held a presentation on facades.  Epstein led an exercise involving the line drawing process – this time, the students and mentors paired up to draw each others’ faces holding their pencils in the most abstract/uncomfortable/unintuitive ways possible.

The students learned about drawing to scale and were divided into two camps – one group arranged core elements for the general plan of our Museum, the other began sketches for the Museum’s main façade.  General concepts of cores, structure, and the importance of having male and female bathrooms near each other were discussed.  We’ll be presenting the core and façade ideas to each other next week!
