Welcome!

Team 3 met at the office of Perkins and Will where we continued introductions and ice breakers. After starting off with a Q&A about our program goals, we moved onto our Career Match Game Show. Through this game, we introduced different disciplines within the ACE industry (IE- structural engineer, construction manager, project architect) and discussed what roles each job function may play within a project.

From there, we moved onto our structural exercise of spaghetti and marshmallows! With these materials, we analyzed how large a structure we could potentially build, as a team, in a limited period of time. We asked and answered many questions. What are the limitations of these materials? Their strengths? Their weaknesses? How will each material’s attributes enable each team to build the highest structure?
