At Team 5’s fourth meeting the students applied all they have learned so far from the different architecture, structure and construction management disciplines with a design build activity. They had to buy materials within a limited budget, design and build a building to scale considering specific site issues and support the weight of a graphic calculator. One structure even supported a steel manual! Project teams were successful based on the amount of money they had remaining and additional monetary bonuses based on structural performance and aesthetics.
