Our first four meetings are in the books and we’re making the turn to start thinking about our projects. Here’s a quick recap of what we’ve done since October:

  • We’ve solved a murder mystery using clues we learned from members of each profession.
  • We’ve reached for the skies (or at least the ceiling) with marshmallows and spaghetti. Some of the towers even survived the Great Chicago Earthquake of 2011.
  • We’ve discussed the various different career paths mentors have taken to get where they are today. This included learning about the process of choosing, applying, and going to college.
  • We took an in depth look at each profession which included a tour around Smith-Gill offices, engineering candy, and morning routine scheduling.
  • Finally, we toured the Roosevelt University Vertical Campus construction site to see an almost completed project up close.

Its been a fun few weeks! Check out the slideshow below for some of the highlights.
