What: Design Build Presentation + Designing the Program Parts
Where: VOA Associates, 224 South Michigan Avenue, Suite 1400
When: Thursday, February 04, 5:00 – 7:00 pm
Why:
First, there was a presentation on last summer’s ACE Design Build. Then, we continued to design! The first official meeting of the project managers happened. And then the New Bridge and Architecture groups presented their work thus far.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT SCHOLARSHIPS:

Existing Bridge Team
Project Manager: Derek
Responsibilities:
-Produce 3d model of existing bridge
-Formulate plan for preservation and integration with new bridge components
New Bridge Team
Project Manager: Andres
Responsibilities:
-Design new bridge structure, who will use it, how will it move
-Integrate with existing bridge
-Later, begin 3d model for new bridge
Green Space Team
Project Manager: Kristina
Responsibilities:
-Sustainable components
-Landscaping, hardscaping
Surrounding Site Team
Project Manager: TBD
Responsibilities:
-Interaction with all spaces around bridge
-How to extend the bridge into the public
Architectural/Building Component Team
Project Manager: Michelle, Nimah
Responsibilities:
-What type of building fits the site?
-Begin design, later, build 3d model for building
