Welcome to the 2012 / 2013 Chicago ACE Mentor Program!
The ACE Program runs approximately 20 weeks during the school year, running from Monday, October 29, 2012 through March 2013. All CPS school holidays and vacation times are observed (unless otherwise noted). Returning students will notice some adjustments to the schedule in this strike-shortened ACE season, but changes are minor and we’ll still have plenty of time to work on great design projects together! Note that each of 7 Chicago-area teams will distribute their own calendar, but there are several important dates are listed below:
- Monday, October 01: Student Registration Deadline
- Week of October 29 – November 02: Student Orientation and Team Meetings begin.. (see below for team meeting locations and times)
- Tuesday, February 12: Annual Fundraising Luncheon. (a small number of students/mentors will be asked to attend as representatives of the program) Chicago Hilton, 720 S. Michigan Ave., Reception at 11am followed by lunch at 12pm.
- Saturday March 09 2013: Field Trip to University of Illinois Urbana Champaign. Details will be provided during team meetings.
- March, 2013: ACE Final Presentations! Time/place info. coming soon!
